Samsung has unveiled the latest version of its popular P7 line: a new slim, fast portable SSD.

Set to be able to connect to your host system using a USB-C port that uses the 40 Gb/s USB4 standard to deliver sequential read speeds of up to 4000 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 3700 MB/s, this latest P7 model should be quite fast, reliable, and capable of some expanded storage capacities of up to 8TB (but, understandably, at a price).

With read speeds up to 4000 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 3700 MB/s, this new portable SSD should be fast and durable, with drop-resistance up to 6.5 feet.

The P7 SSD will also be bus-powered and backward compatible with 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 and previous standards, plus ready to work with Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, game consoles, and tablets.
