Teradek has released the Vidiu X, a high-definition streaming encoder that allows content creators to easily livestream to their favorite platforms including Facebook Live, YouTube Live, Twitch, and Ustream.

The Vidui X is ideal for those looking for a more robust solution beyond streaming with smartphones. The device is a 1080p 60p encoder that's compatible with HDMI cameras, switchers, and media players.

The unit supports steaming three different ways through Ethernet, cellular connectivity, or via WiFi 6, allowing it to seamlessly integrate with larger multi-camera productions. It also comes equipped with network bonding built in and can stream to multiple platforms at the same time using Sharelink, an optional service.

The Vidiu X is plug-n-play, where you can input a camera like the Sony Alpha 1 or integrate it with a switcher like the Roland V-1HD to livestream to your audience. For connection ports, it's equipped with a single HDMI input/output, Ethernet port, and USB-C input for AC power or power banks. It supports 2-channel audio via HDMI. The max bit rate is 15Mb/s.

For additional control, the Vidiu App for iOS and Android allows you to configure your destinations, stream settings, and network connections, all from your smart device. It also allows you to monitor the live feed.

The Vidiu X is available now for $699. If you're looking for a 3G-SDI option with an additional 3.5mm audio input, Teradek offers the Vidiu Go for $1,490.
