You gotta hand it to DJI, the Chinese company is staying the course and is releasing another powerful and promising new aerial video drone that will be available everywhere else besides the United States.

Set to feature impressive omnidirectional obstacle sensing and advanced gesture controls, the DJI Neo 2 is going to be a hot commodity for those looking for affordable and compact video drone options; however, it sadly will continue the company’s new policy of not releasing in the United States.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new DJI Neo 2.

The New DJI Neo 2

Stepping up the game from its predecessor in a myriad of ways, the new DJI Neo 2 is compact, smart, and quite capable with its video recording features. The Neo 2 will stand out with its compact and lightweight design (weighing just over 150g), its 2-axis mechanical gimbal, and its ability to record 4K video at up to 100fps.

It will be quite beginner-friendly as well and could be a great option for someone looking to launch into drone videography for the first time, with many easy-to-use features making it an ideal option for low-stress flying.

The DJI Neo 2 will be able to reach tracking speeds up to 12 m/s and will offer a robust mix of gesture controls to help with the flyability. It will also feature 49GB of internal storage and an optional 04 digital transceiver, which will offer an extended 10km transmission range.

DJI Neo 2 Not Available in the United States

As we’ve covered many times in the past now, DJI is still deeply involved in an ongoing legal battle with the United States government, facing threats of bans and limitations. The company is also facing the ever-changing tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, leaving—amongst other reasons—the company to decide to just not bother selling its latest drones in the US market.

And that appears to be company policy moving forward, so it doesn’t sound like anything is going to change anytime soon.
