FCC Listings Reveal DJI Neo 2 Drone May Be on the Way Soon
Here’s what we know so far about a potential new DJI Neo 2 drone, and if it might be available in the US markets soon.

Following up on the success of the popular and easy-to-fly DJI Neo, it appears that DJI is putting forward plans for a follow-up with a Neo 2 being filed as an official listing with the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
While this isn’t necessarily a sign that a DJI Neo 2 is on the way immediately, it is a clear sign that one might be in development. However, with DJI still facing tariffs and potential bans in the US, it’s also not clear if a Neo 2 will ever fly in the skies here.
After all, the DJI Mavic 4 Pro has still not been officially released in the US due to these ongoing issues and concerns. Still, the best we can do for now is share the news we have. So here’s what you need to know about a potential new DJI Neo 2.
DJI Neo 2 FCC Listing
According to filings found on the FCC website, a new DJI drone is now listed. The DJI Neo 2 would obviously be a highly anticipated follow-up to the popular DJI Neo. The Neo is a beginner-friendly drone that’s compact and affordable, yet still quite capable with pro-style quality.
The FCC filing reveals that Neo 2 could be powered by a bigger and better battery that could further increase flight times, which, admittedly, the Neo was a bit limited with an 18-minute max. The Neo 2 could also include some performance upgrades for its photo and video capabilities as well.
What Comes Next?
Sadly, while the DJI Neo 2 being listed with the FCC is a great positive step forward, it’s not a guarantee that the Neo 2 might not end up going the same way as the Mavic 4 Pro. If it’s ultimately more trouble than it’s worth for DJI to release the Neo 2 in the US, then the company might simply choose to only sell it elsewhere.
There’s also no sense of a timeline here for if and when the Neo 2 might be released. Still, it’s not nothing as the filing does reveal that the Neo 2 is at least a consideration right now. And, despite its popularity, the Neo could use some improvements that could raise its value for budget-friendly filmmakers and video pros here soon.
We’ll keep you updated as this story develops.
