The number of lenses that can be used with the Fujifilm GFX series sees a bump thanks to Metabones. The Nikon G Lens (F-mount) to Fuji GFX (G-mount) Expander 1.26x and Nikon G Lens (F-mount) to Fuji GFX (G-mount) Adapter are the company's latest creation.

Expander 1.26x

As the name suggests, the Expander 1.26x is designed with 1.26x magnification ratio to magnify the image circle of the full-frame Nikon F-mount to the medium-format sensor of the GFX cameras. When adapted, the lens will maintain the exact same diagonal field of view.

Optically, it touts 5 elements in three groups made from "ultra-high index lanthanum-based optical glass and one element made of fused silica." The body is constructed from aluminum alloy and brass with a chromium plating. There is a 1.0x crop factor when used with the GFX cameras and the extender decreases the aperture of the lens by 2/3 stop. Meaning, a f/2.8 becomes f/3.5 and f/2 becomes f/2.5.

The Expander 1.26x incorporates the company's G aperture adjustment mechanism which has the same angular throw as Nikon Ai/Ais lenses. The adapter is manually controlled and does not support electronic aperture control. However, it is clickless and features a removable mount compatible with Arca Swiss tripod types.
