Are Nikon and RED Preparing to Launch a Secret Set of Imaging Recipes?
Online sleuths seem to have discovered an interesting tidbit about a potential release of some new Imaging Recipes for Nikon cameras, possibly set to be released next week.

While these rumors can sometimes spawn online and take on a life of their own, it appears that online sleuths have figured out when and what Nikon is about to reveal, as soon as next week.
Since Nikon acquired RED Digital Cinema in what was perhaps the most important non-AI story of the year last year, the fusion of these two brands has been a fascinating journey. We already have the Nikon ZR to show for it—an intriguing and affordable cinema camera that combines RED’s color science with Nikon’s engineering.
However, we’re still on the lookout for more collaborative efforts like these aforementioned potential new Imaging Recipes. Here’s what you need to know.
Rumored Nikon and RED Imaging Recipes
As pointed out by Nikon Rumors, it appears that a page on Nikon’s website has been holding a placeholder for new RED-supervised Imaging Recipes to be released for Nikon cameras on December 10th, 2025.
The placeholder text on the Nikon page reads as follows:
“The fusion of RED and Nikon technology has created a unique and more attractive expression than ever before. We’ll give you an unprecedented recipe that will unleash your power of expression.”
Also, as of a few hours ago, it looks like there’s a post on what appears to be an official Nikon Facebook page indicating as much as well.
Imaging Recipes for Your Nikon Cameras
We’ll wait just a little bit longer to make sure these rumors are true, but I’m sure if they are that we’ll get some official announcement from Nikon here soon.
Regardless, though, we’re excited to see what new Imaging Recipes these two brands are able to scheme up and explore how they can potentially be helpful for your filmmaking and hybrid content creation options with your favorite Nikon cameras.
Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated.
