These Camera Models Are the Latest to Get Camera Control Support With Atomos Monitors
Atomos announces expanded camera control support for the Shinobi II and Shinobi 7 RX, including support for familiar names from Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, and more.

Atomos Shinobi II Monitor
As part of the company’s runway to NAB this year in Las Vegas, Atomos has announced a new firmware release for its popular Shinobi II and Shinobi 7 RX monitors that will bring camera control, including touch-to-focus, to an even wider range of camera models.
This is exciting news for fans of Atomos’ monitors as well as current (or perhaps future) owners of this pretty significant list of cameras from familiar names like Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic, and Sony.
Let’s take a look at this firmware release (version 11.07.00) and share the full list of cameras set to get more camera control support with these new models now being supported by these Atomos monitors.
Atomos Firmware Update
Along with the announcement of several newly supported camera models, Atomos also announced that other improvements are in the works.
The most important info here is that, with the inclusion of a USB-C interface in all of Atomos’ next-generation monitors and monitor-recorders, filmmakers and content creators will now be able to control key camera functions like ISO, shutter, aperture, and white balance directly from their Shinobi monitor. Ideally, this should be a significant improvement in workflow efficiency.
Furthermore, Atomos shares that this update will also bring the Shinobi range in line with the camera control compatibility found in Atomos’ other Ninja monitor-recorders, including Ninja RAW, Ninja TX GO, and Ninja TX.
