Here’s How You Can Unlock ProRes RAW Recording for Your Canon R6 Mark III Cameras
Atomos is releasing an update for the Ninja TX monitor-recorder that will add ProRes RAW recording from your Canon EOS R6 Mark III hybrid mirrorless cameras.

Atomos Ninja TX
Firmware update 12.2.1 is out for the Atomos Ninja TX and Ninja TX GO monitor records that aim to unlock the full video recording potential of your Canon R6 Mark III cameras.
ProRes RAW video is coming to your camera systems and should add a sophisticated recording option that will pair well with the host of other on-camera monitoring and recording options that these popular Ninja devices offer.
With this update, the Ninja TX will be able to support a maximum video resolution of 6960 x 3672 up to 30P, and 4320 x 2278 up to 60P, and the Ninja TX GO will support a maximum resolution of 4320 x 2278 up to 60P—with both models offering camera control for the Canon R6 Mark III over USB-C as well.
Atomos Ninja TX Firmware Update
As two of Atomos’ next-gen, on-camera monitor-recorders, designed specifically for filmmakers and professional video content creators, this firmware update should make both even more appealing for those looking to get the most out of Canon’s popular video-centric hybrid mirrorless camera.
“The release of the Canon EOS R6 Mark III is a landmark moment for hybrid creators, and we are thrilled to offer support for this incredible camera. By unlocking ProRes RAW recording on the Ninja TX and Ninja TX GO, we’re giving filmmakers the ability to capture every bit of detail the EOS R6 Mark III sensor is capable of.” — Peter Barber, CEO of Atomos.
Here’s a full list of the key features included with this firmware update version 12.2.1.
