Blackmagic Design’s New 16TB Media Module Can Help Shooters Record, Store, and Transfer Faster
Blackmagic Design has rolled out a new Media Module with a 16TB option, doubling the size of its previous offering.

Blackmagic Design 16TB Media Module
Twice the size of its previous version, the new Blackmagic Design Media Module is set to offer a huge amount of storage for shooters looking to record, store, and transfer high-resolution media from their cameras to post-production.
As fast and as rugged as before, this new 16TB Media Module operates similarly to a Cloud Store Mini that just happens to be built into your camera, making it an ideal option to pair with a Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF camera.
Let’s look at what this new 16TB Media Module version has to offer and where you could consider getting one today.
Blackmagic Design 16TB Media Module
Designed to offer the ability to record, store, and transfer high-resolution video media directly from your camera to your post-production workflows, the Blackmagic Design 16TB Media Module features 16TB of M.2SSD storage and has been developed to install quickly and easily into your camera's media bay.
The Blackmagic Design 16TB Media Module supports up to 12-bit Blackmagic RAW files and H.264 proxy files at data storage rates up to 1432 MB/s at 24 fps. The Media Module is also formatted in the camera and utilizes Blackmagic media format. A plastic case is included to protect the module in storage and transport.
Plus, when users want to use the optional Media Dock for transfer, the module is hot-swappable too.
