Canon Releases Firmware Updates With New Controls for C50, C80, and C400 Cameras
If you’re a Canon EOS C50, C80, or C400 shooter, you might want to check out these new firmware updates.

Canon EOS C400
While not as prolific at releasing firmware updates as, say, Blackmagic Design, which seems to have an update for DaVinci Resolve almost every other week these days, when companies like Canon do decide to release firmware updates for some of their more popular cinema cameras, it’s usually because they have something good to share.
And that appears to be the case with these firmware updates for the Canon EOS C50, C80, and C400 models. These firmware updates are set to include notable workflow enhancements, including external camera control features, as well as streaming reliability fixes and other improvements.
Here’s what you need to know.
Canon Firmware Updates
As mentioned above, these firmware updates are for three of Canon’s more popular cinema cameras. The firmware updates are set to add some new features and improvements, as well as make some minor fixes.
The big news here is the new USB-C camera control, improved visibility of the level indicator light, user interface changes, SRT auto-reconnection, and other much-requested operational fixes and updates.
Here are the firmware update breakdowns and links for each of the three cameras mentioned above.
