Set to release in Australia only right now, this new lens does look exciting for RF shooters and those looking to upgrade from their smartphones and point-and-shoot workflows.

Designed to be a step up from smaller cameras and workflows, this new Canon RF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 offers a telescopic option to pull subjects in close. The lens is set to achieve even more zoom when paired with one of your favorite Canon APS-C camera bodies, as it will provide a 120-480mm equivalent.
The lens promises to be light and compact as it will weigh almost the same as a 500ml drink bottle. And, with the EOS R100 attached, the lens and camera combo could weigh less than 1kg, making it very easy to take on the go anywhere.
The lens will also feature some soft bokeh expressions. As with any telescopic focal length, scenery and elements behind or in front of your subject tend to blur, which will help to create a soft bokeh to bring your subject and image to life.
Canon also shares that even with telephoto shooting, the stable hold and lightweight design of the Canon RF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 Telephoto Lens, when paired with the performance of an EOS body, will allow for simple and comfortable video shooting.
