Get a Smoother Flying Experience With the DJI Flip’s Latest Firmware Update
While not a major update, the newest firmware update for the DJI Flip fixes some bugs and should improve your flying experience.

Since being announced back in January, the DJI Flip is quickly becoming a popular entry-level all-in-one vlog camera drone that is a great option for beginner flyers as well as more advanced users looking for a simple-to-use option to take with them for their smaller projects and travels.
Yet, like most new cameras and drones, there are always improvements to be made. DJI has released a new firmware update for the DJI Flip that should make the flying experience with this small vlog drone even better.
Let’s look at the small fixes and improvements set to come to the DJI Flip with this aircraft firmware update.
DJI Flip Firmware Update
Announced as aircraft firmware update v01.00.1200, the DJI Flip is set to pair with a Fly app update version 1.16.4 to optimize flying and video performance for this camera drone. DJI also recommends updating your corresponding controllers to get the most seamless compatibility with the Flip moving forward.
There are no major new features to mention here, as this firmware update is mostly just housekeeping. The DJI Flip gets a few minor bug fixes and some small improvements, all aimed at improving the flying experience and keeping the DJI Flip as a reliable and accessible camera drone for beginners.
How to Download and Install
Keeping your product updated to the latest version of firmware can improve its functionality, stability, and user experience. The process to download and install is quite easy, too, as it is all handled in the app.
When the app prompts you that there is new firmware available, it is recommended that you update the firmware in a timely manner. If the firmware of an earlier version is used for a long time, it may affect the performance of the product.
