Increase Your Power Capacity With DJI’s Latest Power Expansion Battery
Let’s look at the new DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 and how it can serve as a modular extension to the company’s Power 1000 portable charging solution for your workflows.
If you’re looking to upgrade your power capacity for your various video (and perhaps photo) shoots then you might already be familiar with the DJI Power 1000 portable charging solution. However, while this has been a great option for those looking to power their remote location projects, this new DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 should make remote power even greater and more accessible for bigger crews.
It is designed as a modular extension option to the DJI Power 1000 portable charging solution, and this Power Expansion Battery 2000 should greatly increase your power capacity and potential. Let’s take a look at this major extension and see how it could pack this 2000Wh+ into a compact footprint and modular form.
Introducing the DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000
The DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 is set to offer 2048Wh capacity, which is comparable to the 1024Wh DJI Power 1000 but with an easy-to-stack and carry upgrade. With its modular form too up to five units of the DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 can be connected to DJI Power 1000 via cables which should offer increased power up to 11 kWh, which can consistently supply power at 2400 watts.
This new expansion also offers a nice array of ports, buttons, and screens all integrated on the front of the unit. Both sides and the back will have 1/4" threaded holes too to make it more convenient to operate and secure the device wherever you need it for your productions.
Furthermore, the DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 will allow for 4000 charge cycles and will feature DJI’s intelligent Battery Management System with a new sub-nano protection coating technology which should further allow the expansion battery to operate safely in all types of conditions including rain, condensation, and even salt spray.
Price and Availability
Users will be able to use the DJI Power Expansion 2000 device via Bluetooth and WiFi via the DJI Power Dongle or the new DJI Home app, so it should be easily controllable. The DJI Power Expansion is available to order at the DJI store and is currently on sale for $899.
