The Godox Light App Gets Cleaner UI and Stronger RGB Tools With New 4.0 Update
The Godox Light app has a new update, which aims to make the app run faster and smoother, as well as offer stronger RGB tools and more scene presets moving forward.

Godox Light App
Regardless of whether you have (or haven’t) tried out the Godox Light app yet, it’s nice to know that lighting technology is improving and that these companies are focused on making the life of a filmmaker easier and more efficient.
Yes, sometimes managing things from an app can be annoying, especially if the app features weird UI or clunky response times. However, Godox is putting even more effort into its light app with a new update that promises to make it cleaner, faster, and stronger than ever before.
Here’s what you need to know about the latest update (version 4.0) for the Godox Light app, which is available for iOS and Android devices.
Godox Light App Update 4.0
Originally designed to be used simply as a way for users to wirelessly control Godox LED lighting via Bluetooth, the Godox Light app has grown to offer a full range of controls over power, brightness, color temperature, and RGB values for compatible LED lights.
The app lets users put lights into groups so you can control lights individually or as part of a group, too, as well as several other helpful features and functions that can be useful either for solo shooters or small to medium production crews.
The new update (version 4.0) mostly aims to make shooting easier and the settings more flexible, as well as making your lighting workflows smoother overall.
The main updates include:
- Cleaner UI
- Faster connection
- Stronger RGB tools
- More scene presets
