What an underwhelming year at NAB
April 20, 2016 at 11:40AM
I think companies are pushing for incremental updates instead of market shifting announcements this year. Especially Blackmagic, they waited so long to finally get the Ursa Mini into peoples hands that they couldn't come and announce some amazing camera again this year.

Why hasn't there been more reporting on the Kinnefinity Terra 5K and 6K cameras? They sound incredible, they're from a reputable company, and they're supposed to be available in the next month or two, but NO ONE seems to be reporting on them. Why not? That damn "Craft Camera" vaporware system that so far seems to be just 3-D renders, promises, and marketing is getting more press than REAL cameras are.
April 20, 2016 at 12:10PM
Agreed. There's a long interview from NAB with the fella at Kinefinity on youtube talking pretty lengthy about the camera.
April 20, 2016 at 1:23PM
We interviewed them! Editing now and posting soon as part of the 47384747393 more videos to come.
April 20, 2016 at 2:30PM
I'm not used to "troll", but guys most of you're NAB videos are dark underexposed and not greatly framed. Time to stop thinking of 4:2:2 10 bit compressed or RAW and just practice on operating any camera. Thanks anyhow for everything you do, this is by far the best filmmaking site there is. Sorry for the harsh critique.

Well said. I think that goes for a lot of the online chatter.
April 21, 2016 at 9:12AM
110 videos shot (and most of them edited) in 3.5 days.
On a crowded convention center floor with no lighting control and people jostling by.
So there's that.

Passionately love NFS, but could we have someone else host these interviews? Kinda painful to watch.
April 21, 2016 at 6:39PM, Edited April 21, 6:39PM
Is this just a general commentary on all three of us, like a spray-hate, or do you have something against one person in particular?
April 23, 2016 at 12:04PM
Mr Kahlil. What's wrong with the hosts? I criticized cameraman skills on a run and gun situation that could have been handled better despite rush. But you're just nasty.
